Continuity of Education

Throughout 2020, Rydes Hill and our families have proved adaptable and resilient, faced with the rollercoaster of challenges presented by Covid 19. With the movement to online learning last Easter, we were able to move at speed to replicate our curriculum online and retain our high standards of teaching and care, whilst our doors remained open for our Key Worker children.

We are proud to be one of a handful of schools in Surrey to welcome back all year groups for the last four weeks of the summer 2020 term. Rydes Hill provided a safe environment and a haven of normality for our children throughout the autumn term and we found creative ways to retain all aspects of School life, including house sporting competitions, live parent video links to music recitals and a spectacular Christmas production in the School grounds.

As we enter another period of lockdown, we feel confident and ready to embrace the spring term, safe in the knowledge that we are prepared and able to adapt to these changing times. We are offering our full curriculum within our dynamic online teaching programme inclusive of PE, Forest School, Music, Speech & Drama and French and we will continue to open our doors to the children of Key Workers.

"The amount of effort to make sure the girls are keeping up with work and being part of the Rydes Hill community while also dealing with weekly changes to how the school can operate is incredible. I'm especially grateful for the return to school booklet as it answers a lot of questions" CURRENT PARENT

"Thanks for all great work you and the team are doing in these very uncertain times. Our Lower Prep teachers have been absolutely outstanding. You must be very proud of them."Current Parent
