Computing

Technology is an important aspect of our modern world and the computing curriculum at Rydes Hill is designed to educate our children on the safe use of technology.

We have a state of the art Computing Suite that classes visit each week. Additionally we have banks of iPads which are used to bring technology into the classroom and beyond. We use ‘Purple Mash’ for our curriculum content, ensuring children are developing skills including manipulating data, animating, coding and presenting information.

All year groups are taught about online safety and this is a recurring theme in any lesson involving use of the internet.

Children in the prep department can take part in Code Club as an after school activity and we run code camps during the holiday periods.
