National Acclaim for Rydes Hill

We are one of the top Preparatory Schools in the country!

We are delighted that Rydes Hill achieved national acclaim for academic achievements for three consecutive years. Our school featured as one of the top independent preparatory schools in the country in 8th place in the The Sunday Times supplement entitled ‘Parent Power’. (Nov.2003)

The supplement included a table of the top 250 preparatory schools in England. Schools were ranked according to the proportion of 11 year olds who achieved Level 4 or above in this year’s National Curriculum Tests. Rydes Hill School attained a perfect score of 300. This represents 100% success in all three core subjects – English, Mathematics and Science.

‘Parent Power’ also featured editorials about some of the “best performing schools” around the country. Rydes Hill was selected as one of the schools that had attained “remarkable results”. The editorials were compiled by the Sunday Times based on information and evidence supplied by the schools.

The most recent ISI Inspection Report of 2007 concludes:

"Rydes Hill School achieves remarkable academic success".

The report also says, "The school takes the national tests at age 7 and 11. Results in these national tests over the last three years have been far above the national average for all maintained primary schools........ This represents a considerable achievement". (ISI Inspection Report 2007)

We are delighted that pupils from Rydes Hill gain scholarships and places to some of the top ranked schools in the country.

We are proud of the achievements of our pupils and are indebted to the teachers for their commitment and hard work.
